Urge your MP to pass Bill S-203 without delay

Ban whale and dolphin captivity

Canada has a historic opportunity to end the cruel captivity of whales and dolphins for good! The bill that would ban the trade, breeding and display of live whales, dolphins and porpoises just cleared the Fisheries and Oceans Committee without amendments and is now going to back to the House of Commons for a final vote. We are so close to it becoming law but we need your help.

There are only a few sitting days until Parliament adjourns for the federal election — we need your help to ensure this bill passes or it will die on the Order Paper and we will have to start all over again.

With an election looming, MPs are particularly vulnerable to the views of voters like you. Please send a letter to your MP today to encourage them to pass Bill S-203 without any delay.

*Please note that Bill S-203 makes an exception for animals currently captive and those needing care or rehabilitation. This bill is to phase out the captivity of whales, dolphins and porpoises for public display and entertainment.
