Pass the Jane Goodall Act ASAP!

Across Canada, hundreds of thousands of wild animals are held captive and used as entertainers and as pets. The Jane Goodall Act is ground-breaking legislation that would put an end to the commercial trade of 800+ wild animal species and prohibit their use for entertainment.

With the support of animal advocates like you, we helped develop and promote this legislation. In March 2022, Senator Marty Klyne re-introduced the Jane Goodall Act (Bill S-241) and we’re so close to gaining the support we need to move it forward.

Parliament has a full agenda when they reconvene in September, and we need your voice to ensure the Jane Goodall Act passes. As we continue to gain support with Senators and Members of Parliament (MPs), we need your voice to show these key Ministers that Canadians want to see the Jane Goodall Act become law.

Use our advocacy system to send an email to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, copying the Minister of Justice and Attorney General and the Prime Minister. Let them know that Canadians overwhelmingly support this legislation and urge them to pass the Jane Goodall Act ASAP!
